Blog - Kathleen Anne

Hi Everyone

Yes, I have been nagged and pushed and begged and bullied into joining the online Blogging train so here I go. Oh not that I mind....I just thought a little sleep in 24hrs would be good so if It it seems like I'm going off the tracks....put it down to lack of sleep..OK!

If you haven't been along to one of my many talks given at the various Craft & Quilt Events then your missing out on seeing all the new ideas and projects you can make at home.

1st seminar "Photos on Fabric for Dummies" workshop is always the most popular and generally standing room only. Here its first in best seated and I promise not to ask you any questions if you sit up the front, well maybe lol

One talk is never enough for me I love educating others with the endless possibilities of Printing on Fabric. In fact this is my favourite part of the day. Due to the overwhelming numbers of people wanting to get into the workshop I have added another talk which is more in depth than the first talk 'Photos on Fabric for Dummies"

So a BIG "Thank You" goes out to all of you who have been along to my talks (and continue to frequent the same talk year after year) if you want to learn a little more or see new techniques come along to the 2nd talk.

In the 2nd seminar "Virtual Applique" we are going to cover scanning techniques and a whole lot of cheating methods! We will also cover the basic steps of how to print photos on fabric for those in the class who don't know yet.

Can I ask you to PLEASE don't be shy to ask questions in the workshop rooms. Chances are the person next to you wants to know the answer also. Its amazing how many people stand around after a demonstration at the stand. One of us girls will ask if we can help them and they usually reply "Yes but I'm just listening to other peoples questions first" too shy to ask themselves.

Oh and for you girls out there wondering where the handsome young man from the stand has gone. Well Steve (my 26yr old) has moved to China. Over the past 4 yrs Steve has taught himself Mandarin/Chinese he went to Shanghai holiday to stay with his best friend for a 3mth holiday and fell in love with Gibby.

We speak to him over Skype (cheapest phone calls ever) and he tells me he actually misses the show and all the attention you all gave him.

Due to an overwhelming demand from you all asking me to give lessons. Finally, you can secure an intimate teaching lesson with me if your quick.

I have been busy locating venues or hotel rooms around Australia to hold small private classes. Sometimes its difficult to book a function room in the hotel I'm staying at so I'm sorry if our schedules collide.

I know you keep asking for my help because your tired of waiting for help from others. Do not despair if you cant get into a class the lessons are available to follow along at your own pace on my Memories lesson CD all you need if you cant make it to a class.

This lesson is aimed at the computer beginner to help you feel comfortable at home using the products and programs you own.  Please see Classes online for further details.

Ok bye for now... Back soon

Wishing you Success & Happiness Always
